The diving boat: Spiro Sub dive school The MARIANNA is a high-seaworthy wood ship. The trunk of 12m length was built for 1979 in La Spezia as fishing boat. These boats were completely specifically built for the Mediterranean and for all weather. The first owner removed the trunk as work yacht and thereby sport fish drove. When we took over the MARIANNA, them were overhauled again compromise less as diving ship. Completely spec. were made to diving leaders installed onto measure, in the engine room a high performance compressor plant and for our female guests a toilet. The very roomy cabin, which offers us with bad weather good protection, is equipped with UKW naval voice transmission, 3 D-Echolot, digital Seafarer, telephone and all necessary controllers.
For the travel of approx. 8 knots 87 HP a FIAT naval Diesel provides. The MARIANNA is officially approved for 12 persons. We are very proud to be able to present to our guests such a diving ship.

Spiro Sub diving center on the Elba Island

Volker Kammerer born 21.06.1965 in the Black Forest.
In the year 1994 Volker began a diving. Before it began 1997 for the first time with SPIRO SUB as DIVEMASTER, it as bricklayer master and above ground construction technician worked, in order to then work in the following years in the summer at SPIRO SUB as PADI INSTRUCTOR and in the winter as basis leaders in the Maldives. After six-year experience as dive instructor and basis leaders, Volker transferred 2004 SPIRO SUB in the season.

Katja Sonntag born 03.12.1970 in Berlin,
worked so far as a child nurse. In the year 2000 it made its OPEN WATER DIVER with SPIRO SUB and discovered their love for diving. Their diver driving collected it in the Mediterranean, on the Maldives and in German lakes. Katja works since 2005 as diving teacher with SPIRO SUB.

Emilio Jakob
born 25.09.2007 at 12:39 pm in Berlin. He goes to the Kindergarten on the Island of Elba and is always and everywhere with us.

Elba diving excursions

Martin Geiger is German and dives since 1994. The Divemaster course, he made at Coral Divers in Herrenberg in 1997. He got experience as a guide in Croatia and Mallorca. In 2002 he did the PADI instructor examination. In the Mediterranean Sea and Asia he started his work as instructor and the last 8 years he was working in a Dive Center at the island of Malta. Before he starts working in the diving buisness, he did an education in the industry. Martin speaks german and english. He is looking forward to welcome you at the season opening.
